Eat, drink, (garden, knit, quilt, think, fix, read) & be merry

Rip it, Rip it

on January 9, 2010

Remember this?

How this sweet little blanket was it?  Was finally going to be the project to use up this yarn?  Well, it hit the frog pond a few weeks ago.  And turned into this:

Ah, much better, don’t you think?  I was having a hard time keeping the spiral to lay flat and, although I hoped for a blocking miracle, I couldn’t quite knit up the whole thing unsure if it’d have to hit the frog pond again.  I’m now almost 2/3rds of the way through the yarn and it’s already more than 4’x4′ before finishing and blocking.  It’s the Chalice Lace pattern, using a few more repeats for more of a twin size instead of a baby blanket.  It’s getting a little unruly to knit, but so warm to cuddle up with in front of a movie.  Wooly wonderfulness.

That is awesome! I never could get the hang of knitting. So jealous right now.

  2. […] And, much to my relief, I finally finished The Chalice Blanket. […]
